We have our kids dam raised for the first week after they're born and then are introduced to a bottle to allow them to go to homes as bottle-kids. We pride ourselves in raising friendly goats and spend lots of quality time with them to ensure they are well socialized with humans.
We ensure that before kids leave our care, they are healthy, trained to take a bottle for each feeding, and UTD on current vaccines. ALL kids will be disbudded (no horns) few days after they are born. If buyer is requesting to have the horns left intact, FULL PAYMENT must be received prior to selecting a kid (baby goat).
If a buyer is interested in a wether (castrated male) and that kid leaves our care prior to 5 weeks old, it is then the buyer's responsibility to have their buckling banded. We allow kids to leave as soon as 4 weeks old, as long as the new owners are comfortable with the requirements of bottle feeding.
We require ALL new owners to pick up (unless delivery has been discussed) their kids between 6 to 7 weeks of age. At this age they still require 2 to 3 bottles a day and can slowly be weaned off by 10 weeks of age is recommended.
I provide a "Baby Goat Care" sheet, bottle & nipple at the time of pickup of your new addition to the family!!
